Obituary

Albert Livingston was born on March 26, 1941, in Greenville, Florida, to the late Abraham Livingston Sr. and Estella Evans Livingston. He was the fourth of seven children, and he and his siblings were raised on their family's 40-acre farm, where they tended to livestock and grew fresh produce. It was there that Albert's inquisitive mind, strong work ethic, and natural aptitude for numbers began to take shape.

Albert graduated from Lincoln High School in Palmetto, Florida. Shortly thereafter, he made his way to New England, where he worked a variety of jobs, formed lifelong friendships in Massachusetts, and welcomed the birth of his daughter, Monique. One of Albert's greatest accomplishments was working as a chef in restaurants, like Le Bourguignon on Berkeley Street and Café Florian on Newbury Street. Where he prepared dishes such as coq au vin, escargot, and French pastries, Albert took great pride in his craft. His culinary talents even earned him recognition in the Boston Globe and appearances on local television, where he had the opportunity to showcase his passion.

Albert will be remembered most for the generosity and loyalty that defined his character. He was a devoted friend and family man who believed in going the extra mile for the people he loved. His generosity was never measured in small gestures. If Albert knew someone was hungry or in need, he wouldn't simply offer them a plate of food; he would prepare an entire meal. That was the kind of man he was; thoughtful, giving, and always willing to do more than was expected.
