In Loving Memory of Brenda

Brenda was born on June 15, 1949, in La Ceiba to her parents, Emeline Sanders Brooks and Moses Pinnace. She was the eldest of five children and shared a close bond with her siblings: Randolph, Gretel, Lindbergh (Steven), and the late Mae, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and cherished throughout her life.

In 1973, while in her twenties, Brenda moved to Boston with hopes of creating a better future for her family. During those early years, she worked various jobs while striving to bring her two children, whom she had left behind, to the United States so they could be reunited as a family. Through determination, sacrifice, and unwavering love, Brenda was able to build a life that enabled her to provide for and support her three beloved children: Frances Elizabeth Thomas, Robert Terry Thomas, and Monique Kamara Dottson.

Brenda later found her lifelong career at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she worked faithfully for more than forty years. Her dedication, compassion, and strong work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Throughout her career, Brenda was known for her generosity and selflessness. She helped family members and friends find employment opportunities at Beth Israel and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those she loved. She also remained deeply connected to her roots, regularly sending barrels filled with clothing, food, and other supplies back home to help relatives and community members in need. Her kindness touched countless lives both near and far. Before retiring in 2016, Brenda served as an Anesthesia Technician, a role she carried out with pride, professionalism, and care. After more than four decades of dedicated service, she retired and devoted her time to the things that brought her joy.

Brenda loved cooking, dancing, and attending church. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the love she so freely shared with everyone around her.

Brenda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, generosity, hard work, and unwavering love for her family. Her impact on the lives of those around her is immeasurable, and her memories are far too precious to be forgotten.

Though she is no longer with us, Brenda's spirit will live in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Her love, guidance, and example will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
