It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Cameron Grant, born on September 5, 1993, at the Nuttall Hospital, Kingston Jamaica to Carland Omar Grant and Trevene Cameron Morgage.

Daniel was a remarkable young man whose life, though far too short, was filled with purpose, determination, love, and promise. He will be remembered for his strength of character, his dedication to his family and career, and the meaningful impression he left on everyone, fortunate enough to know him.

Daniel began his education at Vaz Preparatory School in Kingston, Jamaica where he attended from 1998 to 2004. He continued his secondary school education at Kingston College from 2004-2011where he graduated with a Diploma in General Studies. His thirst for knowledge and desire to build a successful future led him to pursue higher education at the University of the West Indies from 2011 to 2015. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance with a strong foundation in Macroeconomics and Accounting.

In 2015, Daniel migrated to the United States, residing in Boston, Massachusetts, beginning a new and important chapter in his life. With courage and determination, he embraced the challenges and opportunities that came his way and worked diligently to establish a fulfilling life in his new home.

In February 2016, Daniel began his professional career at the Amazon Fulfillment Center, where he gained valuable work experience. Later that year in May 2016, Daniel began his career at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in finance. For the next 10 years, he was a dedicated and valued member of the organization. Through his hard work, professionalism, leadership, and commitment, Daniel advanced to a supervisory position. He was respected by his colleagues and took great pride in the work he did and the people with whom he worked.

Daniel was much more than his education and professional accomplishments. He had a creative spirit and a genuine appreciation for capturing life’s special moment. Photography was one of his favorite hobbies, giving him an opportunity to express his creativity and preserve memories through his lens. Those who knew Daniel will remember his journey, his determination, his aspirations, and the many experiences he shares with family, friends and colleagues. In April of 2026, Daniel was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer. He faced this difficult journey with remarkable courage and strength. Despite the challenges he encountered, he continued to fight with dignity and perseverance. After a courageous battle, Daniel passed peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

Although his time with us was far too short, Daniel lived a life that mattered. His journey from Kingston, Jamaica to Boston Massachusetts, was one of growth, perseverance, achievement, and hope. He worked hard to create a future for himself and took pride in the life he was building.

Daniel leaves behind cherished family members, friends and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His absence will be deeply felt, but the love he gave, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain forever.

His story reminds us that the length of a life does not determine its significance. Danile’s life was a testament to courage, ambition, perseverance, and the importance of embracing every opportunity placed before us. Though we mourn the loss of a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, colleague, extended family member and cherished loved one, we also give thanks for the years we were blessed to share with him.

Daniel Cameron Grant will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever cherished. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew he rest in eternal peace and loved him.
