Francine Téramène, affectionately known as "France," passed away on April 28, 2025, at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA, on her 66th birthday.
Born in Cavaillon, Haiti, to the late Irma Edouard and Syrien Téramène, Francine received her early education from preschool through secondary school at the Congrégation des Sœurs de Saint Anne. She later became a public primary school teacher, earning her diploma from École Normale Instituteur des Cayes. Francine dedicated 25 years of her life to teaching in Haiti’s public school system before retiring.
Francine was a devoted mother, a beloved wife, and a cherished friend. Her vibrant and energetic spirit made her a beacon of warmth and generosity. Always ready to lend a helping hand, she touched the lives of many with her love for life and unwavering kindness.
Family was at the heart of Francine’s life. She deeply cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Dominique Esperant; her daughters, Ange-Laure Ferlee Esperant and Fara Rose Gardine Esperant; her son-in-law, Pierre Americain; and her beloved grandchildren: Diane, Laurheen, and Owen.
Francine is also survived by her brothers, Dalton and Yvon Téramène, and many nieces and nephews, including Frantznel, Dalmir, Yveler, Jameson, Dasmine, Herlande, Jean Octave, Edje, Edjenie, Mia Téramène, Rodchild, Rodensky, Rodson, Daphka, Jean-Yvens, and Yve-Naika.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those close to Francine who mourn her passing especially members of the Esperant, Americain, Bazelais, Flecourt, Molin, Denard, Dabady, Joseph, Banatte, Adonis, Cherestal, Hercule, Aladin, Edouard and Medorsil families. May you find strength in her memory and comfort in one another.
Francine will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, love, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
