Irene Kennard

OUR BELOVED 

Irene M. Kennard shared this life with us for 87 years. She was born in Boston, MA to the late Ralph Kennard and Madeline Lewis.

Irene was educated in the Boston Public School system and upon graduation, she worked tirelessly for 25+ years with the Home for Little Wanderers, the City of Boston Parking Dept. and Bus Operations for the MBTA.

For years, Irene enjoyed working with children, where she taught dance, helped sew all the dance costumes and put on dance shows for the 464 Women's Club. Also, never hesitating to force her own children, family members and neighborhood kids to be a part of the dance shows.

Irene is survived by her sister Jean Kennard, her four children, Michael Kennard and his wife Lynn, Ricardo Kennard, Mario Kennard and his late wife Leslie, and Elisa Brown, her nine grandchildren Juanita Belton and her husband Sammy, Mikey Kennard and Emily, Dejuan Lewis, Aaron Williams, Desmond Kennard and Erica, Troy Williams, Tiffany Williams, Marquis Williams and Chantel Williams, her four great-grandchildren, Anthony Kennard, Sammy Belton VI, Kennedy Williams, Bailey Belton, Gianna Kennard, Gloria Williams, her nephew Deondre Kennard and her many cousins and friends.
