Jeffrey Mark Rogers

November 4, 1981 — September 7, 2025

Jeffrey Mark Rogers, 43, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2025. A beloved father, son, brother and friend.

Born on November 4, 1981, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Jeff's precocious nature quickly earned him the nickname "The Professor" as a child. A voracious reading habit and penchant for obscure facts only reinforced the moniker, which he embraced through adulthood. He loved a spirited debate and thought things through to a point of almost certainty, which made him unmovable in his beliefs. He could discuss any topic you brought his way and was swift with a rebuttal, often playing devil's advocate just to make sure all perspectives were considered. When he wasn't using his talents to dominate the competition, he was handing out advice to anyone who needed it. Always willing to listen, he shared his time generously. Friends, family and even strangers were welcome. His career as a mentor and consultant fit him perfectly. If there was a way he could help, he would. He paved his own path in life and suffered all the bumps and bruises that came along with that, which made him feel obligated to help those coming behind him avoid pitfalls he had no choice but to take head-on. This was never more evident than when he entered fatherhood. Guiding his sons through life was his greatest joy and challenge. Demanding but fair, he firmly believed your life is the result of your own choices, actions, and effort, and instilled in his boys a level of accountability that is rarely seen.

He is survived by his parents, Paul K. and Kathleen J. Rogers; the love of his life, Naeemah Smith; sons, Jaiyere and Chief Jasaad Rogers, and Sahmir Russell; brother, Paul D. Rogers and his wife, Deb Jones; sister, Jill Clark and her husband Jeffrey; brother, Dwayne Rogers; niece Jayna R. Young and her husband Nathaniel jr., and nephew Javon Clark; Mother-in-love Latifah Hasan; and a litany of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
