Jenilynn Brooks was born on October 14, 1958, in Flowers Bay, Roatán, Honduras, the youngest daughter to the late Harold and Naomi Brooks. From an early age, Jennilyn faced numerous medical challenges, yet she met each one with remarkable strength, resilience, and grace. Lovingly known as “Jen-Jen,” she was a true fighter whose determination carried her through adversity and allowed her to proudly graduate from high school despite the obstacles before her.
Her fighting spirit followed her throughout life. After immigrating from Honduras to Dorchester, Massachusetts, Jenilynn built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love. She dedicated many years of service working in housekeeping at Marion Manor Nursing Home. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted worshiper at Greenwood Methodist Church in Dorchester.
Jenilynn found great joy in the life she created, especially in her role as a mother. She cherished sharing her birthday month with her two greatest gifts—her children, Robert, born October 5th, and Jessica, born October 4th.
Jenilynn was known for her kind and compassionate heart, her warmth, and her loving spirit. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and spending time talking with family and friends. Those who knew her will forever remember her sweet smile, positive outlook on life, and her joyful, entertaining dance moves.
On January 3, 2026, after a lifetime of courage and perseverance, Jenilynn Amanda Brooks fought her final battle. She passed away peacefully at Boston Medical Center, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Jenilynn is survived by her beloved children; her siblings; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; cousins; and a host of extended family and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
Rest in peace, Jenilynn, until we meet again.
