We announce with deep sorrow the passing of Jose Carlos Lopes, lovingly known as “Zequinha.” He will be remembered for his kindness, strength, love for family, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.

Jose Carlos Lopes is survived by his three beloved children: Newton Lopes, Carlos Rafael Lopes, and Ailine Lopes. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Maria Filomena Alves Lopes, Maria Conceição Lopes Cardoso, João Gonçalves Lopes, Jose Gonçalves Lopes, Jose Antonio Gonçalves Lopes, Manuel Gonçalves Lopes, João Ernesto Gonçalves Lopes, João Jose Gonçalves Lopes, and Raul Gonçalves Lopes, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

“Zequinha” will always be remembered for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the bond he kept with his family throughout his life. May he rest in eternal peace.
