Kenneth D. Bennett, Sr.

Kenneth D. Bennett, Sr. affectionately known as Kenny or Ken-Dell, completed his life journey and went home to be with the Lord at the age of 66. He succumb to his illness at Boston Medical Center on July 4th, 2025. Kenny was born on April 19th, 1959, in Boston, MA to Robert D. Bennett and Eloise Bennett.

He grew up in Bromley Heath in Jamaica Plain, Boston. He graduated in 1977 from English High School and shortly after joined the U.S. Army where he met and married Sharon Sandy in 1980. From this union was born Tashia C. Bennett and Kenneth D. Bennett Jr. Kenny proudly served his country for 10 years.

Kenny’s favorite pastime was watching his beloved Boston sports teams, playing spades and dominoes.

Kenny was proceeded in death by his father, Robert D. Bennett, in November of 1998, and his granddaughter, Tashyanna M. Bennett-Viera, in September of 1998.

He is survived by his former wife, Sharon C. Bennett and their children, Tashia C. Bennett and Kenneth D. Bennett Jr., extended son Jamal H. McNeill. His grandchildren, Rapheal S. Bennett-Viera, Sarai M. Bennett-Gilbert, Tiana M. Bennett-Thomas. His mother Eloise Bennett, sister Belinda J. Bennett. His aunts, Jewely E. Barnes, Carolyn Wager-Felix and Aggie Joins. His goddaughters, Ashley J. Gilles and Cory J. Gilles.

He was loved by many and will be greatly miss.
