Kevin Scott entered this world on February 13, 1965 at City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. His parents, Mary (Wright) and William Scott, Sr. took their first born son home and raised him in the South End neighborhood of Boston alongside his three older sisters and younger brother.
Kevin was educated in the Boston public school system, graduating from Boston High School in 1983. As part of Boston High School's work study program, Kevin worked at some of Boston's largest corporations. Upon graduation from high school, he became a full-time employee of the First National Bank of Boston at 100 Federal Street. Beginning his journey there as a mail clerk, Kevin worked his way up to a management role in the bank's Transportation department (and in to the lives and hearts of many a bank employees). After nearly a decade with the bank, and with a growing family, Kevin decided it was time for a change and accepted a supply management position at Harvard Management Company. Kevin eventually moved on to work for the City of Boston.
It was at the First National Bank of Boston where Kevin met and pursued the young lady he would later marry, Angela Singleton. To their union, five amazing children were born; Cory, Kenneth, Joseph, Matthew, and Alyssa Scott. Kevin was also a loving father to his oldest son, Kevin C. Scott who was borne of an earlier relationship.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Mary Scott and William Scott, Sr. as well as his sisters, Mary Christine Williams, and Miriam Carolyn Scott.
Kevin was the life of the party, the teller of jokes, a walking laugh track, a DEVOTED Boston sports fan and a friend to all. He will be deeply missed by many.
To mourn his passing and live out the Scott legacy, Kevin leaves his children: Kevin (Toya), Cory (Mary), Kenneth, Joseph, Matthew and Alyssa Scott. He also leaves his former wife, Angela Singleton-Scott, his sister Esther Scott, brother William Scott Jr., nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and three beautiful granddaughters, Ky'Asia, Amayah and Marayah.
Kevin didn't make friends, he collected brothers. We won't list them all here for fear of leaving someone out but you know who you are and we want you to know that he isn't the only one who appreciated the friendship, guidance, love and support you've shown him, and us, over the DECADES.
