Leroy A. Lewis

October 9, 1955 — April 26, 2026

Leroy Antonio MacDonald Peter Lewis went on to be with the Lord April 26, 2026, at 11:16am in Boston, Massachusetts at age 70.

He was born on October 9th, 1955, in Plymouth, Montserrat, and was raised by his father, the late Edmond Lewis, grandmother, the late Mary Lewis, and his uncle, Arthur Lewis.

Leroy came to the United States in the 80s, but his heart was always in his home country. The food, the culture, the landscapes; he loved to reminisce on his time in Montserrat with the Jubilee boys, his uncle Arthur on the police force, and the camera that gave him the nickname 'cameraman'. He was a master electrician and loved working with his hands.

In addition to his father, mother, and grandmother, Leroy is preceded by his brother John Lewis.

He is survived by numerous family members in the United States, Montserrat, and England: his children, Royden Lewis, Duren Brade, Jasen Lee, Merlon Daley, Riis Lewis, Taylor Lewis, and Treasure Lewis, and grandchildren; his sisters Lydia Lewis, Frances Lewis, Jane Lewis, and Yvette Bourne whom he loved dearly. Additionally, Leroy is remembered by many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

In lieu of flowers we encourage you to honor Leroy's life by donating to the National Kidney Foundation, to help those suffering with illnesses like his.

Leroy's presence will be sorely missed, especially his faith and perseverance throughout his sickness. He did not give up and was always confident the Lord would show up for him, often leading to outcomes that surprised everyone including his doctors. Leroy's simple nature and adoration for  his Montserratian  roots should inspire us all to not sweat the small stuff and be proud of where we come from.
