Lois Lee, affectionately known as Dianne, was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1943 to the late veteran Edward Dudley and Louvenia Davenport-Brewster. Lois moved to Boston, MA at the age of 9. As an adolescent, Lois spent her time tending to her studies and spending time with friends and family. As a young adult, Lois worked to cultivate a strong family unit by starting one of her own. Lois married the late Selven A Brown II and birth 5 children. She is preceded in death by her 2 sons, Selven A Brown III and Andre I Brown. She has 3 surviving daughters from this marriage that inlcude Arika Colbra Brown, Apryl Brown-Haley, and Aderienne Brown. She later became divorced and then remarried the love of her life, the late Robert Lee. She is also survived by another daughter Teresha M Lee and step son Caesar Brown.

Lois was relentless to be positively active in her community. Lois became involved in a number of organizations and community groups. Lois is known for spearheading a tenants group, named the United Granite Tenants Association.
