Lois Lee, affectionately known as Dianne, was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1943 to the late veteran Edward Dudley and Louvenia Davenport-Brewster. Lois moved to Boston, MA at the age of 9. As an adolescent, Lois spent her time tending to her studies and spending time with friends and family. Lois had been positively influenced by her aunts, mother, and grandfather who all activated her entrepreneurial spirit and a want to uplift her community positively.
As a young adult, Lois worked to cultivate a strong family unit by starting one of her own. Lois married the late Selven A Brown II and birth 5 children. She is preceded in death by her 2 sons, Selven A Brown III and Andre I Brown. She has 3 surviving daughters from this marriage that inlcude Arika Colbra Brown, Apryl Brown-Haley, and Aderienne Brown. She later became divorced and then remarried the love of her life, the late Robert Lee. She is also survived by another daughter Teresha M Lee and step son Caesar Brown.
Lois was relentless to be positively active in her community. Lois became involved in a number of organizations and community groups. Lois is known for spearheading a tenants group, named the United Granite Tenants Association. Lois was awarded a number of awards from the state's governor, mayor, and House Reps for her contributions to her community. She worked closely with organizations such as Catholic Charities, MassHousing, Dorchester Cares, and Mother Caroline Academy to name a few.
Lois will be missed dearly. She was the best mother, godmother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could ask for. We wish you the best in your next life journey. We love you.
