On November 30, 2025, Minister Maggie Irene Gary’s journey here on earth ended as she joyfully began her life and assignment beyond the pearl gates on Heaven’s shores. Minister Gary was born on December 9, 1943 to the late Milton Seals and Lena P. Seals in Lepanto, Arkansas. Her early years were spent in the cotton fields of Lepanto working alongside her parents and siblings. But her passion for the word and the kingdom of God were sparked at the tender age of 3 when her mother told her of heaven and how to “get a religion. ” There started her journey to find The One True God.
After graduating from George Washington Carver High School, she attended Pine Bluff University in Arkansas. She later moved to Boston, MA in 1965 where she attended Boston College, bore and raised four children. Her search for God continued and culminated in a powerful encounter where she received Christ into her heart in 1981. Soon after she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire at Emmanuel Temple Pentecostal Church in Roxbury, MA.
Her love and passion for God grew and fueled her intense study and teaching of scripture. She was a teacher with an evangelistic mantle traveling to churches, elder and nursing homes around the city to teach and preach the gospel of the kingdom and care for those in need.
In the ‘90s, she attended Bethel Bible School under tutelage of Rev. Dr. Juanita Smalls. Minister Gary was thereafter ordained as a Reverend under the direction of Pastor Herbert Aaron Malloy, Jr. of Powerhouse Ministries in Roxbury, MA and again in the early 2000s under the ministry of Bishop Melvin Mavis Massey of Christ Temple Church of the Personal Experience in Roxbury, MA. An avid learner, she continued her leadership and theological studies at Caleb Leadership Institute under the direction of Rev. Louis A. LaGatta, Sr. at Caleb Ministries International.
Minister Gary was the 4th eldest of 11 siblings and was raised alongside six sisters: Rubie L. Dorsey (deceased) of West Memphis, Val Townes of Birmingham, Alabama, Lola M. Seals (deceased) of Stanford, North Carolina, Margaret Barnett of Starkville, Mississippi, Rose Kimble of Muncie, Indiana, Bess L. Seals of Silver Springs, Maryland; and four brothers: Milton Seals, Jr. of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Cordell Seals (deceased) of Muncie, Indiana, Jake M. Seals (deceased) of Muncie, Indiana and Raymond Seals (deceased) of Muncie, Indiana.
She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy her four children; Rommie Cain-Aziz, Frederick Gary, Kristen Simmons, and Joy Gary, her four grandchildren; Joseph Darden, Daniesha Aziz, Brianna Aziz, and Na’Imah Aziz; her five surviving siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
