Maria Silva Jardim

Maria De Lourdes Silva Jardim, 94, passed away surrounded by family on January 23, 2024, in Boston, MA. Born on April 7, 1929, in São Nicolau, Cabo Verde, to Francisco Silva and Paula Silva, Maria is preceded in death by her husband Jose Dos Santos Jardim and son Fernando Jardim. She was the last surviving of her Silva siblings. Maria is survived by her three daughters, Julia Evora, Helena Jardim, and Teresa Santos, along with her grandchildren Cassandra Santos, Danielle Santos, Jalissa Evora, Jason Evora, Fabio Jardim, Debra Jardim, and Sheila Jardim.

Widowed in 1976, Maria shortly thereafter immigrated to the United States with her daughters and settled in Boston. Maria's adoring family and friends celebrate a life punctuated with kindness and love; her door was always open to anyone in need. Maria was a nurturer above all else - the ever-present matriarch, the meticulous gardner, and unequivocally the best cook. As a devoted Catholic, Maria lived a selfless life and always put her family first.

She is adored, she is loved, she is missed.
