Mark "M.J." Roul Reid Jr.

February 28, 1995 - July 27, 2026

Mark Roul Reid Jr. - always and affectionately known as "MJ" passed away on July 27, 2026, at 31 years old ;Born February 28th,1995 in Boston,on a very cold, icy day. but most recently called Jamaica Plain "home".

M.J. was a true artist at heart, with a lifelong love of drawing and colors. That connection to color ran deep-especially when it came to lilacs, the flower, where that shade then became something of signature. M.J. attended Boston Arts Academy as well as Boston Day and Evening where he later obtained his diploma. He worked a variety of jobs in the food industry and retail over the years, but none of that defined who he truly was - a gentle, empathetic soul.

M.J. practiced Buddhism and carried that sense of peace into everyday life. M.J.'s laugh was remembered above all - infectious, warm, and the kind that made it impossible not to join in. M.J. did everything with love; those who knew him described him as: a beautiful soul,a true friend, and someone whose presence alone was comforting.

M.J. is survived by his parents: Jacqueline Russell and Mark Roul Reid Sr. Brothers: Anthony Campbell and Andre Stuart; and sister Maddison Reid. Also left behind are nephews Kyle, Dariel, and Justin, along with loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will carry M.J.'s memory forward.

MJ's laugh, art, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him.
