Michael Onell Williamson

April 2, 1962 — June 26, 2025

Michael Onell Williamson, 63, of Dorchester, MA, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, at Boston Medical Center, following a courageous ten-year battle with cancer.

Born on April 2, 1962, in Pittsfield, MA, Michael was the beloved son of the late Charles and Sharon Williamson. Affectionately known as "Mike" to all who knew and loved him, he was a warrior in every sense of the word; resilient, devoted, and steadfast. At his bedside during his final moments was his cherished chosen niece, Gloria "G" Ellison, whose love and presence comforted him to the very end.

Mike was one of four siblings; Anthony, Charles Jr. and Jeffery-each of whom shared a deep, lifelong bond with him. He began his education at Taconic High School in Pittsfield before continuing at Harriet Tubman High School in Boston, where he proudly earned his diploma and embarked on a life grounded in service.

Michael dedicated much of his career to helping others, working in several homeless shelters where his heart and commitment earned him the role of Assistant Manager. He left a lasting imprint on the lives he touched, offering hope to those who needed it most.

A proud member of the recovery community, Mike celebrated over 20 years of sobriety with the unwavering support of his sponsor, Paul. His journey became a beacon for others, and he gave back through mentorship, encouragement, and service to those walking similar paths.

Rooted in his Christian faith, Mike found strength and solace in the Lord. Whenever his health allowed, he participated in weekly Bible study with out-of-state family members, nourishing both spirit and soul through fellowship. Known for his kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness, Mike was the kind of man who checked in with a simple phone call or offered quiet gestures that spoke volumes. His love for those in his life was constant.

He is survived by the love of his life and devoted partner, Jane Sara "Princess" Prince of Dorchester, MA. Together, they nurtured a blended family that included stepchildren Marcus Lewis, Caitlyn Lewis, and Joshua Lewis, along with eight adored grandchildren. Michael also leaves behind a loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends; each of whom carries his memory in their hearts.

Michael is now reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Charles and Sharon Williamson, and his beloved brother, Jeffery Williamson. His life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and faith, and while his physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love will continue to shine in all those he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
