Ned Cecil Pena, born November 22nd 1936 to Emile Bonaface and Oma Pena, lived a rich and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and joy. His journey from Trinidad to Buffalo and finally to Boston was filled with adventure, hard work, and the pursuit of family and happiness.
Ned was a fitter and turner at Polymore in Trinidad and eventually decided to buy his own taxi. He would often leave coins under the taxi seats and mats so his nieces would find them. Back then those coins would be just enough to buy red mango at Mary's shop.
His love for cooking and the effort he put into it, traveling with his wok and cleaver, shows the importance he placed on nurturing his relationships through shared meals and moments. We will all miss his famous Chinese chicken, chunky vegetables, and noodles.
His Daughter Rhonda Snow, Son in Law Anthony Snow Sr and grandsons Anthony Snow Jr and Ethan Snow would like to express gratitude to everyone who supported Ned during his journey, especially Lauretta, Neil, Mike, Candace, and the Blue Hills Adult Center. Thank you for the role you played in making Ned's last years some of the happiest of his life.
Though Ned has passed away, the family finds solace in the hope of being reunited with him by God’s grace. His memory will undoubtedly live on through the love and warmth he shared with those around him.
