Veronica Hankey, 71, passed October 3, 2021 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Veronica was born on June 29, 1950 to Monica Hankey (Deceased) and Neville Romain (Deceased) in Grenada and migrated to Trinidad and Tobago where she lived most of her years and worked at Eastern Credit Union, where she retired.
Veronica became a citizen of the United States, which became one of her homes. Veronica was a woman of immense faith. It’s her faith that brought her comfort during her 3 year struggle with cancer.
Veronica is survived by her two children Pamela Date and Andy Hankey-Baptiste, her granddaughter Rhea Date, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Vero, as she was called by many, was very involved in her church and service to others. She will be fondly remembered by all who were blessed enough to know and love her.
