William “Billy” Berry, born on March 12, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, departed this life on November 22, 2025. A proud Boston native, Billy attended school locally and carried the spirit of his community with him throughout his life.
After graduation, while living in Colorado, Billy met and married, Carrie L. Caldwell on September 3, 1966. From this union, one child was born, Tanya Nicole Brooks, who became a central joy of Billy’s life. Although Carrie preceded him in death, the love they shared and the family they built remained on of his greatest blessings.
Billy dedicated his career to the construction industry, becoming known as a master craftsman. He had a heart for service and was always willing to lend a helping hand in his community.
In his spare time, Billy found peace in fishing and happiness in barbecuing for family and friends. These simple pleasures – good food, fresh air, and warm company – reflected the way he lived, with generosity and joy.
Billy was preceded in death by his father William Berry, his mother, Katie Waldron and wife Carrie Berry.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Nicole Brooks; his son, Orlando Jones; his sister, Deborah Gorham-Creech; his beloved aunt Beatrice Owens and son-in-law James Morse. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Billy will be remembered for his warm spirit, kindness and strong work ethic. His legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
